Bartın Faculty of Forestry took its place in the United Nations Mountain Partnership (FAO/Mountain Partnership) channel with the TÜBİTAK-1001 Project.

Within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 1001 project numbered 120O687 and titled "Development of a Remote Sensing-Based Algorithm for the Monitoring of Turkey's Mountain Ecosystem Ecological Conditions, Land Use/Land Cover Changes and Analysis of Climate Change Adaptation Capacities" conducted by Prof. Dr. Ayhan ATEŞOĞLU at Bartın University Faculty of Forestry, the "International Mountain Day" event was held on December 11. Within the framework of the event held with the support of Bartın University Forestry Club, the activities of the "Devrek Güneşi" women's cooperative were examined on site. In line with the theme of the International Mountain Day of 11 December "Women move mountains", ideas were exchanged on women's participation in forestry and rural development work. The aim of the event was to raise awareness for women who produce in mountain forests and to enable dynamic young people to benefit from the knowledge and experience of these women. The event was attended by 25 members of Bartın University Forestry Club, academic advisor of the club Dr. Öğr. Member H. Batuhan Günşen and Bartın Faculty of Forestry Res. Asst. F. Şevval Bulut accompanied by the on-site study of the work of the Devrek Güneşi Women's Cooperative, women's participation in forestry and rural development studies were held on December 7, 2022 in Devrek (Zonguldak).

  • A training was organized in our faculty within the scope of “TÜBİTAK 2209-A–B- University Students Research Projects Support Program”.
