Our Dean, Prof. Dr. Birsen DURKAYA, attended the Council Meeting for Agricultural, Forestry, and Aquatic Products Education.

Our Dean, Prof. Dr. Birsen DURKAYA, attended the Council Meeting for Agricultural, Forestry, and Aquatic Products Education organized by Ege University on November 30, 2023. The meeting, chaired by Ege University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Budak, was attended by deans from Agricultural, Forestry, and Aquatic Products faculties across Turkey. Discussions were held regarding education and training activities in the faculties of Agriculture, Forestry, and Aquatic Products. During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Abdulkerim Çalışkan, the Secretary-General of the Interuniversity Board (ÜAK), provided information about the changing criteria for Associate Professorship to be implemented after March 2024.

 

All deans of Forestry Faculties participated in the afternoon session of the meeting, held between 13:00-16:00. Discussions revolved around educational activities, accreditation processes, and the 7+1 teaching model implemented in Forestry Faculties. Decisions made during the meeting were conveyed to the Council for Agricultural, Forestry, and Aquatic Products Education.

  • The Thank You Meeting of the Workshop titled “Smart and Sustainable Forestry: Looking to the Future in an Engineering Perspective” Held in Our Faculty was Held.

  • On November 11th National Afforestation Day, Saplings Met with the Soil with the Slogan “Breath for the Future, Breath for Humanity”

  • Smart and Sustainable Forestry Workshop Organized in Our Faculty

  • TÜBİTAK 2209-A Celebration Event was Held in Our Faculty.

  • With the project of Bartın University (BARU) supported by TÜBİTAK, the husk material that emerges after the harvest of hazelnuts will be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.

  • A training was organized in our faculty within the scope of “TÜBİTAK 2209-A–B- University Students Research Projects Support Program”.

  • Bartın Forestry Faculty Orientation Training was Held.

  • The faculty members and students of our faculty attended ‘’SOSYALFEST’’ (International Social Sciences Festival)
