Our Faculty Graduate Relations Commission brought together our students and graduates on December 14, 2023. The panel, themed 'ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND CAREER,' took place at our university's Ağdacı Campus Conference Hall, moderated by the Chairperson of our Faculty Graduate Relations Commission, Professor Azize TOPER KAYGIN. Speakers at the panel included Professor İsmet DAŞDEMİR, Head of the Department of Forestry Economics in the Department of Forestry Engineering, as well as graduates of the Department of Forest Industrial Engineering: Mr. Ahmet SUNGURBEYLİ (Meset Construction Industry Inc., Meset Restoration Contracting Inc., Meset Architecture Construction Trading Ltd.), Mr. İbrahim Emrah KALYON (Galleon Design Furniture Co.), and Mr. Habip DUMLU (Kalem Forest Products Import Export Trading Ltd.). They shared their knowledge and experiences with our students, addressing their questions as well. Additionally, they provided advice to the students on planning their futures effectively, developing themselves during their student years, knowing at least one foreign language, being confident and trustworthy, and understanding the expectations of graduates from those in managerial positions during job interviews and beyond.
The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Professor Birsen DURKAYA, Vice Dean Associate Professor Şahin PALTA, Head of the Department of Forest Industrial Engineering, Professor Bülent KAYGIN, faculty members, and students from the Departments of Forestry Engineering, Forest Industrial Engineering, and Landscape Architecture.
