The first Advisory Board Meeting of 2024 was held.

Our unit held the first Advisory Board Meeting of the year 2024 on January 18, 2024, at 14:00. At the beginning of the meeting, our Dean, Prof. Dr. Birsen DURKAYA, gave a presentation regarding the developments during the second half of 2023. The presentation covered accreditation processes, scientific publication activities, socio-cultural events, organized international symposiums, and other developments. Additionally, the draft Strategic Plan for the Unit for the period of 2024-2028 was introduced to the advisory board members, and their opinions and suggestions were received. During the meeting, it was proposed to reintroduce the target card named "PG2.2.3. Number of projects supported by the private sector," which was planned to be removed from the Unit Strategic Plan, to increase the target of "PG1.2.2. Number of accredited programs" from "1" to "2" for the year 2024, to increase and rearrange the performance indicator targets titled "PG2.3.3. Number of scientific events attended by faculty members," and to add a unit-specific performance indicator titled "PG3.2.6. Number of reports written, and consultancy services provided by faculty members."

 

At the end of the meeting, it was decided that the recommendations made by the Advisory Board members would be discussed in the Faculty Council.

  • On November 11th National Afforestation Day, Saplings Met with the Soil with the Slogan “Breath for the Future, Breath for Humanity”

  • Smart and Sustainable Forestry Workshop Organized in Our Faculty

  • TÜBİTAK 2209-A Celebration Event was Held in Our Faculty.

  • With the project of Bartın University (BARU) supported by TÜBİTAK, the husk material that emerges after the harvest of hazelnuts will be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.

  • A training was organized in our faculty within the scope of “TÜBİTAK 2209-A–B- University Students Research Projects Support Program”.

  • Bartın Forestry Faculty Orientation Training was Held.

  • The faculty members and students of our faculty attended ‘’SOSYALFEST’’ (International Social Sciences Festival)
